I take it as a personal insult, if none of the front office staff speaks a decent word of English, although the Mandarin Golden Valley Hotel & Resort claims to offer an international standard of service and even has an English version of their website. Apart form that, there was no English newspaper available and even not a single English TV channel. Hotel seems to be from the 80s, however, it is in a good condition and very clean. Staff barely speaks English but they try their best. Free WLAN in lobby. The scenery is great( I think it would have been magnificent when the other hotel nearby wasn t built yet). The room is a bit old but big and clean and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful especially the front desk girl who had to help out when the housekeeper was busy. The pool is beautiful and a perfect setting. Rooms are spacious and in good shape, although far from new. The breakfast is very good. For other meals, you will need to go elsewhere but there are alot of choices.
