We were in a cliff view room, ideal as half way between reception and restaurant and by the pool (which is lovely!) It is far from the other resorts so you rely on their restaurant (prices aren t exaggerated and reasonable quality) but the scenery more than makes up for it. Bathroom half outside, you might get visitors, I came face to face with a small bat in the middle of the night, but then you are in the jungle.. Comfprtable and big bungalows with large terrace. Toilet and shower with an open air view. From the pool you have a magnificent view over the landscape. Friendly stuff,especially the manager makes everything possible for you. He organises further transport, although in our case we were set off before our destination because they refused to pay the ferry which was promised and had to go on our selves. Food in the restaurant is good but due to the stuffs poor english you often do not get what you ordered. Breakfast is ok, when there are many guests they have a buffet, but the focus is on asian style breakfast. Khao Sok is very beautiful. This resort is situated about 10 minutes (by car) from the main entrance of the National Park. We had a hire car so this was no problem. It is simple and tasteful accommodation with spectacular views of the mountains. It is a very peaceful and serene venue which we just adored. The gardens are beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. Breakfast is a very simple affair but served our needs. We ate dinner most nights at the very little village near the entrance to the National Park. This village is purpose built for tourists but has a really nice atmosphere. There are a few mini marts, several inexpensive restaurants and tour companies. There are also a few resorts there however, we were very happy to return to the idyllic peace and quiet of our little resort a at the end of each day.We highly recommend this venue! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
